Half of My Heart

John Mayer has a way of continuously writing great songs. The first song from his new album is no exception. I'm looking forward to the release of the studio version, but this will have to do for now.

Although it sounds really similar to the songs on his last album (even the title feels like he's used to before), I like it.

I'm probably biased. But I guess I'm just one of those people who is okay with an artist who never really changes his sound.

I know what you mean, but I would argue that over the course of his career his sound has changed quite a bit. Think of "Why Georgia" or "No Such Thing" from Room for Squares as compared to "Vultures" or "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" from Continuum. I think this song actually sounds like a blend of those two albums.
